You went to an IT Fair to take pictures of girls and put them on your website? You have to say that’s a little weird.

Equality in everything but particularly a relatively new industry like this one.

I find this offensive. I can only imagine how a woman working in IT would find it.

Vietnam720

Yes, I went to the IT Fair just to take pictures of these ladies.

I was offered ‘special pass’ (another way of saying to jump the long queue) to view the latest 3D TV from Sony and I declined. Given special attention on product offerings and I disrupted them quickly so that I can have more time to take pictures of the girls. When I went home, a friend asked if there was a particular model of a phone on offer and I told him I can’t even remember if that brand company was there or not.

This is not weird Steve – I’ll call it lazer beam focus on a subject.
And not offensive – I can imagine the women loving it, else, they would not be posing for everybody.

Steve Jackson

You seem to think that all women are trade fair models whose job it is to pose – it’s a rather old fashioned approach by manufacturers that does them no favours – but that’s a whole other argument.

But doesn’t this selling with pretty girls approach suggest that the only people interested in IT are men? And that the only women in IT are paid models in short skirts.

Do you think that internationally women working in IT, won’t find this offensive?

Vietnam720

1) No, not all woman, or lady vendors, are trade fair models.

2) But if they are trade fair models, they’d have 99% been told to pose. Model = pose.

3) No, not only men are interested in IT.

4) No, if u are a lady at the IT Fair but not a paid model, u are still a lady.

5) Yes, some women not being photographed may find it offensive but that’s their problem. If I go to a ‘Man Hunt’ or bodybuilding contest and nobody photograph me, I’m not offended because I know I’m neither good looking nor have muscles.

They look great!

Vietnam720

Thanks Pat! And I agree! :)

Wow ..the reps for those IT companies look great. I’d rather see them in this new style of fashion than the black pajamas… Good work…

Vietnam720

Thanks David :)
