This post on Thanh Da is to recommend a normally quiet spot, away from Saigon City, where you spend a few hours lazing around while enjoying the scenery.

Before I move on, while I call this place call Thanh Da, you should know that the actual name is Binh Quoi. Thanh Da only refers to this area. But when you are in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, and tell people Thanh Da, they will naturally think you are talking about Binh Quoi.

 

You won’t find Thanh Da in your travel guidebook. And even though I LOVE this place enough to mention it the 3rd time on Vietnam720.com (the other 2 times being virtual tours), there will be people who say it’s not worth the trip. Yes, Thanh Da is not big and away from the city by a 30-mins cab ride. But if you are looking for an alternative from the usual stuffs, try Thanh Da.
