Vietnam720: Sankara Bar is the hottest in Mui Ne now and Adam from MuiNeBeach.net brings us some pictures of this cool Sankara Bar in Mui Ne.
Adam: Sankara, Mui Ne hottest new nightspot, had a soft opening this weekend, in preparation for the big date, at the beginning of tourist season. Sankara has more floor space than any venue on the beach, with numerous indoor and outdoor seating environments. Likewise there is also an indoor and outdoor beachside bar. A lit swimming pool sits at the middle of the outdoor patio, with a stage inside at the entrance for live music. DJ Nic Ford mixes the tunes till the wee hours, with lighting that synchronizes to the music. This new million-dollar bar is set to become a destination in-and-of itself and is sure to lead the wave of new upscale establishments and the next stage of evolution in Mui Ne growing nightlife.

Hi Frustrated,
Sorry to see what happened there. Any updates for us?
Well, no updates. Sankara turned all of their neighbors into enemies. The sewage dumping has been an ongoing thing, people have been trying for a while to do something about this place but Sankara has a pretty arrogant attitude about the whole thing. Another problem is the noise, outdoor speakers and screaming drunk people through the night on a regular basis. Poor neighbors! nearby family-run hotels are losing money because their guests check out in disgust after one night. Their babies and kids who have to go to school can’t sleep.
Some people just can’t be bothered to be considerate of others.
I hope things get better there. A pity coz Sankara looks like a really cool place to hang out.

Now there is a website forum for discussing the problem of Sankara in Mui Ne. We hope that the issue can be resolved and that peace and quiet can be returned to the families and guests of this neighborhood.

My only question being for what may only be described as a perpetuating snow ball effect, is why all complainees, whether that be visiting guests to the region or permanent residents do not submit a letter in writing to request an open meeting with the owners of Sankara to discuss this in a fair, objective and flexible forum. The meeting agenda should in my opinion not be focused towards what hasn’t been done but rather what needs to be done in order to reintroduce a harmonious existence and, as equally important to ensure the completion of the meeting is positive and acceptable to all. The comments being submitted above are reminiscent of the gutter press whom we all know are written not for intellectual capacity but rather sensationalism, they are cheap and often derogatory by nature and the article at hand can often be overshadowed as a consequence. Thus these periodicals are never taken seriously. I sincerely hope that you are able to all find an acceptable solution to this problem but in a matter of mutual respect, dignity and in the spirit of friendship. We are all living in a multi cultural society within a multi cultural world. Respect and friendship can only exist if it is always reciprocated and flows both ways with the unconditional and unfeigned sincerity and honesty that it deserves. Sit down together, and for a moment look through different eyes and talk to each other, really talk and I can assure you, that you will have found a better road to walk and the solution will be all but around the corner.
Hi!
I was in Mui Ne this summer. In my opinion – Sankara is the best place to hang out. It is the best place for the day or for the evening. Friendly staff, good food, good music – not too loud – allows you to have a normal conversation. Nice, clean beach in front of the restaurant. I spent many nice moments there. Wish there was more places in Mui Ne like Sankara. If I will have the opportunity to come back to Vietnam – for sure I`ll will visit Sankara again
I have put up with this thumping and endless loud neighbour for two nights.
I’m leaving but coming back with something that will force them to listen.
I will go to Singapore or Saigon and come back with bigger, better and more output in sound than sankara and will play meditation whale sounds 24 hours aday.
sankara is a lively nightspot which does not cosider its locale or the fact that it shares an enviroment with others in Mui Ne.It is obviously a venue with a big bank account and high and powerful sound system and listens to no-one except there own music.
The tourists who frequent it would probably love to go to rock concert but can’t afford it..They love it but nobody else around them does.
It would probably be great in a venue with walls 3 times thicker and probably in the cheaper end of Las Vegas. Quiet Mui Ne has not quite got the capacity for this glitz and thumping western sound yhat it produces.
The owners and managers are inconsiderate, ignorant and display a nouveau rich attitude to everybody else in this place. They are all show, loud and have no class.
Their neighbours and guests surrounding this venue are putting up with a lot because war is frowned upon by this gentle people. Not so the glitzy sankarians from another world where loud is beautiful.
i bet this wont grt posted!!!!!!
sankara is an expensive shithole, filled with wannabees who think they are mtv people! its a shame that kta have their pricecermony there!! and the morons in charge of this cant even understand the most basic things, such as taking their neighbours complain seriosly!
