This is Saigon Paragon at Phu My Hung of District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City. Beautiful building selling high end products like Omega, Khaisilk, Espirit, Mphosis, Levis jeans, Bvlgary and Shiseido. Saigon Paragon also has the Megastar which is a multi cinema complex in Vietnam, a supermarket and food court in the basement. They even have a website at http://www.saigonparagon.com/.
But I feel sorry for them about not doing well with the lack of shoppers. Consistently you’ll read on the net and also hear from people about how the place is like a ghost town. I’m no business or marketing guru but I think Saigon Paragon may do better if they can make a little adjustment with their target market. The Hung Vuong Plaza in district 5 is doing well with the huge game and bowling centre on the top level, attracting the youth and hipsters. Even NowZone at District 1 gets by fine with those funky clothing stores on the ground floor. Vietnam has such a huge young population with those below the age of 35 at more than 70%. If only Saigon Paragon can focus more on the Vietnamese youth…
What do you think?
