Le Pub Saigon

Dropped by Le Pub to do a virtual tour and here’s more pictures and some comments.

Saigon Green Beer for only US$1. No idea why they are not serving the Saigon Red Beer which is tastier and higher in alcohol content.

LOVE these t-shirts. They are for sale. The first one below says ‘No drunk no go home’ (direct translation). The second is the Vietnamese version of ‘Cheers’. Great gifts to bring home to your drinking pals at only US$5.50.

Reasonable prices for their food. Large Italian pizza for only US$6 and a fish burger for only US$4. I have no experience with the food in Le Pub. But if you go to the back of the bar, you can see that the kitchen is squared away. Should be a good indication of the food.

The drinks menu. Check out the top right hand corner for the happy hour pricing. US$1 for Tequila, Vodka and Gin from Monday to Wednesday respectively. US$2 for cocktails on Thursday. About US$5 for a jug of Tiger beer on Friday and US$8 for a jug of cocktails on Saturday. Cool pricing for a nice pub at the Saigon backpacker’s hostel area.

Your blog is my number 1 read since moving to HCM City 2 months ago! Keep it up.

As an avid photographer, can you recommend any galleries to buy prints of Vietnam, specifically B & W? There’s certainly no shortage of galleries containing various watercolor paintings and such but have yet to locate photographs.

Thanks!

Shaun, this is so cool! Thank you for reading my posts regularly! Do help me tell your friends about Vietnam720, ok? :)

There used to be a gallery in Eden Mall (beside the People’s Committee Building) but it’s under construction now. Le Pub has good prints all the time but except they are usually in colors. There’s an active online community where photographers in Vietnam congregate and it’s http://www.Photo.vn. Try them and see if u can pick up an image or 2 or not. Also, in Flickr, go to the Vietnam group and Getty license images for the people there.

Thanks Shaun again for dropping by. Appreciate your compliment :)

As always, your blog is my go-to source for Saigon! Who has the best Friday Happy Hour in your opinion?

Vietnam720

Thanks Shaun :)

I’m not big on happy hours and partying so may not be best to ask on this :)

Le Pub is one of my favorite with 1 jug of Tiger beer going for 90,000vnd on Fridays. But Vietnam is relatively cheap when it comes to drinking so don’t sweat the location and timing :)
