Sinh cafe has always been my preferred tour agency in Vietnam. I particularly love their Sleeper Bus service. Disclamier: I wish I am but I’m not getting paid by Sinh Cafe to write this post. Just sharing with you the tour agency I usually go to when moving around Vietnam…
In this post, I’m going to orientate you with Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon. My goal of creating a Saigon map is to highlight an important point to you- It is VERY EASY to walk around on your own in Saigon…
In this post, I’m gonna direct you to the nearest Mon Hue Restaurant from Saigon backpacker’s hostel area. It should take you less than 15mins to walk there…
This post on how to get to the Mui Ne Sand Dunes may sound complicated but the truth is that is really easy. If I can sum it up in one sentence, it will be this: start from the Mui Ne Fishing Harbor, make the first left turn, then left turn again after a traffic light and then finally right turn at a roundabout…
It’s very easy to find Suoi Tien. The trick is to look out for a certain bridge. Here’s how:
First, we start from the Hai Au Resort (circled in red), or the Seagull Hotel, which is at the 18.2km mark or 32 Huynh Thuc Khang Street. From here, just ride straight up towards the direction of Phan Thiet Town…
Standing in front of the Ben Thanh Market, you’ll see that there are 2 streets flanking the sides of the market (marked by the 2 arrows). Start your way to the Mariamman Hindu Temple from the left side (yellow arrow)…
To get to Cambodia from Vietnam, make your way to Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon.
Reasons to get to Cambodia from Vietnam:
a) Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, is only less than 2 hours away to Cambodia at the Vietnam Moc Bai border. And from the Moc Bai border, Phnom Penh is only another 3 hours away by bus. With Cambodia being so close to Vietnam, why not take the chance to ‘conquer’ another country while you are touring Vietnam?
b) It cost only US$10 for an air conditioned tourist bus to get from Vietnam to Cambodia.
c) At the very least, cross over to Cambodia to check out Tuol Sleng Museum, better known as the S21 Prison and the almighty Angkok Wat (see more photos here). I promise you that you won’t regret visiting these 2 places…
The Saigon airport bus operates from 7am to 7pm in both the international terminal and the domestic terminal. While the starting point is at the international terminal, it actually makes a loop to the domestic airport to pick up passengers…
The Saigon Zoo is about 1km from the Saigon Post Office. It’s very easy to get there. Facing the Saigon Post Office, just head down the road to your left and make a right turn at the road in front of the Diamond Plaza…
