If you do ever get sick of the Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Square and have also done the Binh Tay Market in Cholon, try An Dong Plaza. An Dong Plaza is a big and modern multi-storey shopping mall that sells clothes, jewellery, footwear, accessories, souvenirs and even furniture’s. With its large floor areas, you’ll find a wide variety of things to buy. It is also fair to say that the vendors in An Dong Plaza are friendlier and less aggressive than those of Ben Thanh Market.

Somewhere on the 3rd level of An Dong Plaza is where you can find many handicrafts and souvenirs. One good Vietnam gift to bring home is this.

This is the ground floor where the jewellery stalls congregate.

Address: 18 An Duong Vuong Street, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.

Hi Chloe, not the same. An Dong Market is a wet market while An Dong Palza is a shopping center with air con.
Thanks, i hope they are near to each other? I’ve never been to Vietnam and will be going there at November.
So currently i am doing so planning on where to visit there.
I’m will be staying near Ben Thah Market and is planning to go to the following places by taxi during my 4 days 3 night at HCM .
1) Ben Thah Market 2) An Dong Market & An Dong Plaza 3) Binh Tay Market 4) Reunification Palace 5) Saigon Square
I am not too sure of the location. Can you advise me which places are near to each other so that I can plan my itinerary and visit them on the same day. Is there other night markets that sell nice seafood?
If time permits, my 3 family members and I wanted to go for a 1 day Mekong tour. Do you have any idea which tour agency is reliable without burning hole in my pockets?
Hi Chole, #1, #4 n #5 are close by. #2 and #3 are quite close too.
Ben Thanh Market operates at night too. Use the search box to find ‘Ben Thanh Night Market’.
Yet to use Sinh Cafe for a Mekong trip but else, they are one of the cheapest around.
Thanks for the information. You are really a great help to me!
U are welcome Chloe. Glad I can be of help
Dear Vietnam720,
My friends and I will be HCMC this Saturday and our whole 5-day itinerary is pretty much based on your recommendations.
Your photos are superb! We can practically figure out what to buy while we are there.
Keep up the good work ya.
Thanks again.
Dear Clara, thank you for your compliments!!!
Hi Vietnam720,
Any bus to Ah Dong Plaza from Ben Than Market?
Or is it advisable to take a cab instead?
A small suggestion: Could you include like “how to go” when you introduce a new place?
Huat Ah!
Hey Randy, I only know 1 bus and that’s the one from the airport to the city.
Take a cab or taxi bike. A lot faster this way.
Thanks for your idea on ‘how to go’. Mostly, I’ll have an a address to places I recommend. It’s only for those really cool and easy to navigate places that I do a ‘how to get to’.
Winsor Plaza Hotel has a free shuttle bus service that runs between town and the hotel (An Dong Plaza is right next to the hotel – for those new to An Dong). I used to hop on it. The bus stops at the cafe at Sunwah Tower, the German restaurant at the back of Lucky Plaza and another German restaurant next to Duxton Hotel. (Sorry – can’t remember the names but they all belong to the Winsor Group). The bus used to leave the hotel on the hour but I think it’s best to check with the 3 restaurants. I’ve a Google Map done on some shopping places in HCMC – Ben, your visitors might find it useful. (http://maps.google.com/?mid=1287058151)
So sorry : Google Map link should be
