This is how the inside of a typical Vietnam house looks like. My 2 friends who are married rent this place for only about US$45/month in District 8 of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon.
Within this space, you'll find a kitchen, a toilet, a communal area and much more- making a Vietnamese family self sufficient. Of interest is the '2nd floor' which the wooden staircase leads to. This is usually the bedroom and this type of structure where you have '2 levels' within a single housing unit is very common in Vietnam in the quest to create more space.
