The Vietnam History Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, is celebrating its 30 years of showcasing Vietnam history. It now has many new exhibits and hence I returned to bring you more virtual tours of the Vietnam History Museum.
The main feature of this hall has to be the giant penis, or linga, which is god Siva symbolizing his presence.
The Vietnam History Museum is a stunning Sino-French-style building that was built in 1929. It's worth a visit just to view the architecture. The museum has an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the evolution of the cultures of Vietnam, from the Bronze Age Dong Son civilization and the Oc-Eo (Funan) civilization, to the Cham, Khmer and Vietnamese.
