The Xom Chieu Church is an interesting place of worship on District 4 in Ho Chi Minh City, near a long stretch of waterfront warehouses. A turn down a small alley reveals a small Catholic village, anchored by this large and attractive Gothic cathedral that was founded way back in 1856. The parish actually pre-dates the Notre Dame Basilica. Surrounding the church are statues, shrines and chapels, making it a one-stop shop for all your Catholic spiritual needs, all hidden away. Masses are daily at 4.45am and 5.30pm, with 6 masses on Sunday.

Address: 92B/20bis Ton That Thuyet Street, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.
